12000 Indian Airlines Staff go on strike

Yesterday night around 10pm, Indian Airlines staff started their flash strike nationwide, protesting against disparity with their Air India colleages (Indian Airlines and Air India are in the process of merging / merged).

Interesting, but non unexpected.

On one hand, you see the power of the lower level workers in bringing everything to a standstill, on the other it is disgusting to see it happen.

Got used to it anyway.

India Heat Wave

The pinnacle of the Indian Summer is here, yesterday record temperatures of 47.8 degrees C in Amritsar. According to Channelnewsasia, 18 people died yesterday (2 in Punjab) in Northern India due to the heat wave.

Just went out to buy some mangoes, wah lau eh..... when you step out of the hotel, seriously, the heat wave just hits you. No joke. It's like a sauna outside !
